Sun and wind sensors are also optional additions to our patio awnings. They are particularly effective if your concerns include the protection of your home furnishings from sun damage. The awning sensors can be set so that if you are away from home and the temperature rises above a specified level, then the patio awning will automatically open to shade your home. Equally, if the patio awning is out and the wind suddenly picks-up, the sensor will ensure that the patio awning is safely and quickly retracted to prevent damage.
With a choice of over 250 fabrics you are sure to find one that completely compliments your home. All of the fabrics available have been tested to ensure that they filter a minimum of 90% of the sun’s UV rays and offer UV protection ratings of between 12+ to 50+ depending on the colour and design of fabric chosen. From the initial site survey through to installation the service we provide will be tailored to suit your individual preferences with care being taken to explain clearly the fixing height, clear head height, pitch and projection dimensions that will be required to fit your specifications.
All of the fabrics are 100% solution dyed acrylic with seams bound with Tenara® thread (an incredibly strong durable thread used by NASA for their space suits) and are guaranteed for 5 years against fading and rotting caused by the elements.
Frames are supplied in powder coated white or brown as standard, but, for an additional cost you can select any colour from the RAL colour chart to individualise your awning.
Both the fabric and folding arms are protected by a neat stylish cassette case. Pitch adjustment can range from 5˚ to 66˚ depending of the type of awing.
